Locals may have noticed that works at our retrieval shaft site (off Lomandra Drive, Medway Golf Course, Maidstone) have been put on hold. While it is necessary these works have stopped due to a review of the flood modelling, this project remains important for Melbourne Water and we will recommence work as soon as we can.

All construction works at the site have been paused for a few months. Period earthworks were completed to make the site safe. All construction equipment, including vehicles and crane have been removed from the site.

A layer of hydro-seeding (sprayed grass seed) has been applied to any exposed dirt surfaces to reduce dust.

The site will be attended to daily by crew who will continue to work from and maintain the onsite facilities.

While this shut down period is in place, no parking areas in the vicinity of the Lomandra Drive access gate will be reopened for parking. Prior to recommencing construction works, we will notify with any revised information.
