1 December 2022

On 24 November, we informed you that the WTP birdwatching gates 5 and 8 were still closed due to road remediation works.

We are pleased to inform you that these gates have now re-opened which means ALL the Western Treatment Plant birdwatching gates are now open.

There is only one small section of the foreshore road along Lake Borrie still closed to birdwatchers, due to minor road surfacing. However you can still access this road from the north-east near the Lake Borrie bird hide. See map below for exact closure location (red flashing dot).

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and patience during this unprecedented period of road closures.

Please take care when driving out on site and adhere to the VICSES recommendation to never drive through flood water.

If you have any questions please contact us.
