Access and speed restrictions

Some additional access and speed restrictions have been put into place in the conservation areas of the Western Treatment Plant, to assist the Orange-bellied Parrot Mainland Release Trial.

Where Orange-bellied Parrots are frequenting track sides, speed restrictions will be in place to limit the risk of collision. The speed restriction will stay in place for the full duration that the birds are likely to be using the area.

The Mainland Release Team and Melbourne Water thank all bird watchers for their respect of these restrictions, which are designed to give the trial, and this species, the best chance of success.
