We’re updating flood maps across part of the Moorabool Shire to better identify locations at risk of flooding. To improve the quality of the maps, we’re seeking your knowledge of past flooding in the area.

There are four maps being updated, which include the towns of Bacchus Marsh and Ballan. These reflect the different sources of flooding, and provide information used to plan for infrastructure, housing and emergencies.

This work is being supported by Moorabool Shire Council, as part of the Greater Melbourne Flood Information Program.

Council will inform you of any future consultation for other parts of the shire outside of Melbourne Water’s catchment area. This may be run by Moorabool Shire Council or Corangamite Catchment Managment Authority.
