Community Partnership Panels update
We held the first three sessions of the Community Partnership Panels (CPPs) in May. We appreciate the time and contributions of everyone involved.
We’re currently collating the feedback from these sessions into a summary report and will share it with all members of the CPPs and also with the broader community once finalised.
Panel structure and membership
The panels are just one way the community can take part in decisions on how flood mitigation options are assessed and chosen.
There are three panels, each made up of a maximum of 20 members from across the Maribyrnong River Catchment. The panels will meet three times over the course of the study (18 months) to seek input from the community on a specific topic.
The makeup of the panels aims to reflect the diverse perspectives, backgrounds and knowledge of the Maribyrnong River Catchment. Spaces for a minimum of 5 individuals from community groups and organisations were reserved across the Community Partnership Panels.
Terms of Reference
All panel members have agreed to the Community Partnership Panel Terms of Reference as a condition of their membership. The Terms of Reference sets out the aims of the panels, including their scope, to help make sure all parties are working towards a collective objective.

Expressions of interest are now closed and applicants for the panels have been selected. The outcomes from phase 1 will be available in a report shortly.
