Melbourne Water
Melbourne Water is the caretaker of waterway and catchment health throughout the Port Phillip and Westernport region. We manage over 25,000 kilometres of rivers and creeks, floodplains and the regional drainage system.
In Patterson Lakes our responsibilities include:
- flood protection and tidal gates
- drainage
- water quality
- jetties
We deliver beach maintenance on behalf of City of Kingston.
Melbourne Water is also responsible for the sewerage system. We supply, treat and transfer drinking water to South East Water.

City of Kingston is responsible for land management, including beach maintenance services.

Parks Victoria
Parks Victoria is responsible for management of Patterson River and the Tidal Waterways, as well as overseeing boating safety within these waterways.

South East Water
As the local water retailer, South East Water is responsible for supplying drinking (potable) water to Patterson Lakes, along with collecting sewage and trade waste.
South East Water also collects the special bore flushing and jetty service charges through their quarterly water and sewerage bill to relevant Patterson Lakes property owners.
