This review looked at:

  • challenges faced in delivering beach maintenance while meeting community expectations
  • potential improvements to current maintenance processes
  • roles and responsibilities of both organisations in managing the beaches
  • community feedback collected through Melbourne Water’s bi-annual Customer Satisfaction survey.

The review has identified several recommendations and options for improving beach maintenance at Patterson Lakes, which can be viewed online.

Melbourne Water and City of Kingston are working together to assess these recommendations and to determine the most effective and sustainable solutions moving forward.

Importantly, we want to reassure residents that maintenance service levels for Quiet Lakes and Tidal Waterways beaches will not change without community consultation, which would occur during the 2031 Price Submission process.
