Customers and community are having their say in our Price Submission 2026.

As part of the broad engagement program, we've set up a community panel of around 60 people. The panel members are representative of Melbourne Water’s diverse customers and community.

The community panel includes four phases of engagement between 2024-2025. The overarching question guiding deliberation:

How does Melbourne Water focus its priorities and investments in 2026-2031 to meet current and future challenges whilst maintaining fair and affordable prices today, tomorrow and for generations to come?

Through the panel sessions, we aim to:

  1. Understand customer and community values, concerns and preferences on our prices and service standards.
  2. Ask customers and community to determine the priority of services for 2026-31.
  3. Check if customer and community priorities match ours and address any differences.

Melbourne Water is working with experienced practitioners to deliver the community engagement process.
