Training and resources

  • Flood management capacity building

    We deliver free capacity-building programs, tailored to councils, to improve data capture, modelling and interpretation of information, under Action 1.6 of the Flood Management Strategy.

  • Education and water literacy

    Our education and water literacy resources include videos, worksheets and activities. They explain different concepts about water, including ideas about saving water. The resources can be downloaded and/ or shared.

  • Healthy Waterways Strategy 2018-28

    An online collaboration space for partners involved in delivering the strategy, which sets a vision for the health of rivers, estuaries and wetlands in the Port Phillip and Westernport region.

  • Burndap Birrarung burndap umarkoo

    Burndap Birrarung burndap umarkoo (Yarra Strategic Plan) 2022–32 is a partnership between Traditional Owners and state and local government agencies, reflecting a commitment to protect our treasured Birrarung and its parklands for future generations.

Flood Information Program

We’re continuing to work with our state and local government partners so that the public release of flood modelling information aligns with other associated programs of work, and the strategic context of other relevant Victoria-wide programs. We’re working towards releasing updated flood information for the first four councils later this year.

    The Greening the Pipeline initiative is transforming the Main Outfall Sewer reserve along the Federation Trail in Melbourne’s west into a greener, cooler linear parkland and a more enjoyable community space.
